WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CASINOS BUT PROBABLY DON'T!

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CASINOS!!

PLEASE NOTE!

The information on this site relates only to slot machines found in Casinos which are strictly regulated  by State Gaming Commissions!

Also, always remember, the casino is not your friend.  They are out to get your money.  Now they treat you very well with comps such as free rooms, drinks and food, but this is all designed to keep you playing!  The more money they can get you to put through the slot machines or any other game, in the long run, the more they make, because the percentages are always in their favor.  Einstein said, that if he had a 1% advantage over you in any game, if you played long enough, he would win all your money, and the same is true for casinos!

So anyone who tells you they have a system "to beat casino slots'"is lying to you, because that is not possible! The odds on slot machines like every other casino game always favors the casino. But that does not mean you cannot make money playing slots, you can! Which is what this blog is about!

Furthermore, there are more myths about casino slot machines than any other casino game or device, and almost all of them are false!

For example:

Hot and cold machines - THERE IS NO SUCH THING

(All it means is at that particular time the RNG - the Random Number Generator , which is explained below - is generating more winning number combinations!)

This machine just hit, so it will not hit again!  NOT TRUE!

(The machine has no memory about whether or not it just hit a jackpot!)

The casino has set this machine so it will not hit - NOT TRUE!

(Casino slot machines are set to pay out a certain percentage, and those payouts are randomly determined based on the numbers generated by the  RNG! Some casinos also post the payout percentage on some machine, normally those that are set to pay out 98%!  This is done to attract players to those particular machines!

What is true is that slot machines are a cash cow for casinos, that’s why they have so many of them!

The modern casino slot machine is really just a fancy, expensive computer - cost range from $14,000 to $25,000 or more - with a screen to show results! The most important part is a device called the Random Number Generator or RNG, and it's the heart of the machine.

The RNG runs continually generating random numbers, several thousand a second! At the exact moment you press the play button, the machine takes the number it just generated and matches it to a set of symbols called reel stops. These reel stops determine the symbol combination you get for that play. This combination is then matched against the machine's pay table to determine if it’s a winning combination or not and how much it pays, if anything, and this is what is displayed on the screen for you to see!

Now the pay table is always set so the odds are ALWAYS in the casino's favor!!

PAYBACK AT CASINOS!

THE PAYBACK ON CASINO SLOT MACHINES

The payback on casino slot machines can be as high as 99% or as low as 80%, and the payback can vary greatly from casino to casino.  There is also a great misconception regarding paybacks!  The payback percentage on any particular slot machine does not increase based on the bet size!  The payback percentage is based on the denomination of the machine being played not the bet amount.  The reason for this confusion is because the payback amount does vary with the bet size, but the payback percentage remains constant!

Penny slot machines are by far the most popular, but they also have the lowest payback! Casinos love them, and people flock to them, because they think they're just spending pennies. This of course is not totally true!

All penny slot machines have various lines you can play and various amounts you can play per line and minimum play amounts!

So on “penny” machines, if you play the maximum amount, it can be $5.00 or more per spin!

It's important to remember that the payback on a penny machine is the lowest, and that the payback on higher denomination machines is almost always higher! This means quarter slots usually have a higher payback than penny slots, and dollar slots a higher payback than quarters. This  isn't always the case but in general it does hold true.

This upward climb normally tops out at the $5.00 to $10.00 denomination machines!

The greatest jumps are between the penny and dollar and five dollar machines!
After that, payback doesn’t go up much, if at all. This means that a $100 machine may not have a much better payback than a $5 machine, while that $5 machine has double the payback of a penny machine of the same type.

Here's a rough guide of the casino advantage by slot machines denomination or machine minimum bet size! 1 cent- 11.9%, 5 cent-9%, 25 cent – 8.6%, $1 – 6.7%, $5 – 5.3%, $25 4.9%

THE BEST WAY TO PLAY SLOTS!

So based on how slots work and their payback,  how  is the best way to play?  Well here is my method.  It takes advantage of the better paybacks offered by larger denomination machines, but it does not require me to bet any more money than I did before!

Let’s say you're playing a penny machine and betting the minimum on each spin, which in this example  we'll say is 30 cents!, which is common for penny slot machines The average player makes a spin about every 6 seconds or 10 spins per minute!  So every minute you’re betting $3.00 and getting the lowest payback the casino offers! Now suppose instead you play $1.00 per spin, on a dollar machine! You’ve about doubled your payback rate!

To equalize the bet amount just slowdown your play rate to one spin about every 20 seconds instead of one spin every 6 seconds! You can also bet the maximum or play a higher denomination machine just lower your rate of play to compensate for the larger bets to take advantage of the higher payback rates!

So, for example, if a dollar machine has a minimum or a bonus that requires maximum of say $3.00 per spin, then what you do is just reduce the number of plays to one per minute, and you are betting no more per minute then you were on the penny machine, but getting a much better payback!

So you are not betting any more money than you were, just slowing down your play rate to take advantage of the higher payback!

Remember: The biggest payback difference occurs between the penny, dollar and 5 dollar dollar machines!  So if you adjust your play rate, you are not betting any more money!

5 MOST COMMON WAYS PEOPLE LOSE AT CASINOS- AND HOW TO STOP IT!

Most slot players lose money!  That's why casinos love slot players, and why slot machines are cash cows for casinos, and why casinos have so many of them!

Here are 5 costly ways slot players lose money, and if you are one of them, stop doing these things!

#1 PLAYING TOO FAST!
The average slot player hits the spin button about every 6 seconds which is 10 times a minute?  Why so fast?  The slot machine is not going anywhere, and you're not limited to the time you spend on it.

Based on the above, even if you're playing a penny machine and betting the minimum, normally 30 cents, your spending $3.00 a minute which comes to $180 an hour! Most of the time you will not win anywhere near that amount, which is why playing fast is a sure money loser!  So slow down your play!

#2 PLAYING THE PENNY SLOTS!
The penny slots offer the worst payback of all the slot machines!  The payback on the quarter and dollar slot machines are much better, so play those instead.

#3 STAYING TOO LONG AT ONE MACHINE!
If the machine you're playing does not give you a winning spin within the first 5 to 7 spins, it it time to move one.  Hoping that a machine will start producing winning spins, is a sure way to lose money on slots!

# 4 TRYING TO WIN FREE GAMES!
This is another sure money loser!  Free game awards are a random occurrence on slot machines, but slot machines offer, quite frequently, what are known as "teaser results" where 2 of the normally 3 required symbols show, and then the remaining reels go through some wild spin action, to see if the third symbol appears, and of course most of the time it does not!  However, this action is designed to make you believe you were close to winning free games, and hopefully keep you playing.  Do not be fooled!  The number of times the 3rd symbol shows is less than 1 in 100.  Normally, when the free games are awarded, the 3 required symbols all appear together at one time!

#5 CHURNING!
This is the biggest money loser of all, but slot players continue to do it, and if you are one of them, please stop!  Churning is simply playing through your winnings in the hope of winning some more, but most of the time you just lose what you have won, which is why casinos love churners!

Instead of churning, what you should do is cash out, and then if you want to continue playing the machine, put a small amount back in and play through that.  For example: Say you win $100!  Immediately cash out, and put back in $20 or $30, and if you play through that without winning, leave the machine.  You're leaving $70 to $80 ahead!  Too often I see players churn through a $100 win, and leave disgusted, when it was their own fault they lost!  So do not be a churner!
